Papercraft Challenge: Parties, Picnics and Cake!

Welcome to this week's papercraft challenge!  The theme this week is...

parties, picnics and cake!

To get you in the mood (although why we would need to get you in the mood for parties, picnics and cake, I can't imagine!!) the design team has been busy with the theme...want to take a peek?

Emma made a sweet card in more ways than one!  I love those sugary colours!

Teresa made a cute, sparkly and colourful card for a three-year-old

Elina made a cute little gift tag with the cute cat on a cupcake digi

It's an easy way to pretty up a store-bought gift bag!  Here's a closer view...

Frezja used the same digi along with some of the Strawberry Picnic printable papers to make these cute little gift tags.  They'd be great attached to little cupcakes too - a lovely idea for a party!

Josie has a work in progress with Christmas pudding!  Yum!  Who else loves Christmas pudding?

Josie's puddings are going to be part of some NOEL bunting and it all looks rather gorgeous already.  Using the Christmas pudding digistamp to cut out the image, Josie then changed the leaf position and added buttons for berries.  I love how versatile digistamps are, don't you?

I guess there's no rush on completing this one - although Josie says it might be ready in time for the Christmas Parties!

If you'd like to join in this week, it's easy and fun - and you may just win yourself three digis of your choice from Handmade Harbour.  Just add your blog link below, using the linky tool.

Papercraft Challenge: Clean and Simple

Welcome to another papercraft challenge.  This week we are challenging you to make something clean and simple.

When we gave the same clean and simple challenge to the design team, they created a variety of gorgeous cards to inspire you.  I love them all.  I also love that most of them have a very summery feel to them too - makes me think about holidays, beaches and sunshine!).

Here we go, this is what they came up with...

and she made another card using the birdbox digital stamp

Lynne's card uses the fishing boats on the beach digital stamp.  Lynne used paper piecing for this card and you can read more about how she made it on her blog.

Elina's card makes use of the camera digi  and has polaroid-style images of yummy cakes!

We'd love you to join in our challenge!  Each week, two winners will get three digistamps of their choice from the Handmade Harbour shop.

If you  would like to join in, just add your blog link below.  There's more information on our challenges page.

Winners: stitching challenge

Last week's challenge was stitching (faux or real) and maybe it didn't inspire as many people as I'd hoped for as we only had three entrants.

I thought it might be a bit mean to pick two winners out of three entrants, especially as all three were such gorgeous creations!  So this week there are three winners...and all three are very deserving winners, despite the low numbers!

Denise

Katie

Desire

Denise, Katie and Desire, you have won three digistamps of your choice from Handmade Harbour - please email wendy@handmadeharbour.co.uk with your choices - I'll email them to you as soon as I can.

You also get to grab the winner's badge for your own blogs.  You'll find it in the left hand sidebar
<--- over there somewhere!

This week's challenge is clean and simple.  We'd love to see more people joining in this week - don't forget you get to win three digis of your choice.

Papercraft Challenge: stitching (faux or real)

Hello and welcome to another challenge!  This week's theme is...

- - - stitching (faux or real) - - -

Every week you have the chance to win three digital stamps of your choice from Handmade Harbour - just add your link below.  Last week's winners were announced here.

Well, this may be a papercraft challenge, but we aren't averse to a little foray into other craft areas!  This first image shows off some real stitching, with fabric instead of paper - and a fabulous little air freshener which would make a super little Father's Day gift this Sunday.

Josie made her adorable little air freshener using the vintage car and caravan digital stamp and she soaked the felt backing in scented oil before sewing - so much nicer than the cardboard air fresheners!

Frezja made a super sweet card with the elephant and bird digital stamp and there's real stitching in this one too!

Elina's gorgeous card features the girl with flowers stamp and she's used a mix of faux and real stitching.  Black embroidery floss around the image is real (and I love how it frames the image) and there's faux white stitching in the background as well as on the image.

Emma's beautiful card is based on the happy birthday quilt digistamp and it's all about the stitching!

Last but definitely not least is Teresa's gorgeous card with the sewing machine digital stamp - I love how Teresa made some paper patchwork and then made the image look like it had almost popped out of the patchwork design - absolutely gorgeous!

We'd love to see what you have made with the stitching theme - it's easy to add your blog link below!  Please feel free to join in and to visit your fellow linkers too...

With our stitching theme, it's not surprising that this vintage sewing machine stamp features on one of this week's design team cards!

Papercraft Challenge: Pretty

Welcome to the first challenge on our new dedicated challenge blog!  We're hoping you'll play along with us this week for the chance to win three digital stamps of your choice from Handmade Harbour.

Our theme this week is pretty - please feel free to interpret that whichever way works for you!

Although this is the first challenge on this blog, we've been running challenges over on the Handmade Harbour blog for a few months now - and last week's winners are...

Lisa and Carol

Yay! Please email wendy@handmadeharbour.co.uk with your choice of three Handmade Harbour stamps and I'll get them to you as soon as I can.

OK, so back to the pretty theme...

Teresa made this adorable and full-of-fun card using the campervans digital stamp - I absolutely love this card!  Teresa added a with love tag from the sentiments and tags digital stamp, which works really well with the campervans.

Rachel's card is also full of fun!  I adore how she's got the sense of the twenties in this card too!  It's just gorgeous - and definitely pretty!  She used the flapper girl dancing digistamp to create this.

Then we also have these two that I rustled up myself .  The first uses the flowers in a vase digital stamp

and this one uses the puppy thanks digistamp.  Both these cards use backing papers from the strawberry picnic digital craft paper pack.  I love how you can print your own papers so easily with digital papers and a really basic inkjet printer.  I print them onto thin card, because I think it gives the finished card a slightly heavier and more luxurious feel.

Have you made any cards (or other papercraft or digital stamp projects) that fit in with our pretty theme?

We'd love to have a look!  It's easy to join in, just click the button below...
